I am excited to announce my upcoming four-week Sanskrit and chanting series, a unique blend of Sanskrit pronunciation, immersive vibration, and insightful discussions on yoga philosophy. This series is a culmination of my passions, and I can't wait to share it with you.

In each session (after reviewing mouth positions and chanting the Sanskrit alphabet to warm up), we will explore a selection of chants, sūtras, mantras, and verses from varying spiritual traditions and explore the underlying philosophies associated with them.

This series is open to all, even if you have never chanted before.

Also, I also take requests, so if you have a particular chant or sūtras, etc., that you want to work on, let me know.

Exploring The Yogasūtra of Patañjali

The Yogasūtra of Patañjali is the earliest known surviving text on the philosophy and practices of Classical Yoga. The Yogasūtra contains 194 sūtras, or aphorisms, which describe the goal of yoga (according to this text), the obstacles to attaining yoga, and paths to overcoming these obstacles.

In this three-hour discussion-based workshop, you will explore the key concepts that comprise the underlying philosophy of the Yogasūtras and have an opportunity to practice some of the techniques given.

A Brief History of Yoga

What is yoga, and how did it evolve from an ancient liberation practice to a global billion-dollar industry?

Join Sofi Dillof in the hour-and-a-half-exploration of these questions, and we shine a light on some of the important moments in yoga's rich and complex history. This exploration will begin in 3300 BCE in South Asia's  Indus River Valley region and end at a local yoga studio near you.

All are welcome!
